This is the point where the different fjord arms melt together into the main Sognefjord. The direction out the sognefjord, heading for the ocean, is where the sun goes down. Left of the person, are the fjordarms where you ends up in Aurland,Flåm or Nærøyfjord. To the mid right, are the arms that ends up in Lærdal, Årdal or luster (skjolden). And to the right at the back, close to where the sun is, there is a fjordarm that leads to Sogndal.
In the middle of the frame the fjord is 900 m deep.
